A: usually if you plug the ipod through the auxiliary jack its controlled straight from the ipod itself but if you get the connection from under the ipod where it charges the ipod as well than you could control straight from the radio.

My and my step dad did an oil change on my moms toyota corolla and we need to rest the engine maintenance light on the dash how do you do this.
A: At 4500 miles since last reset, the Maint Reqd light will blink at you on startup (very easy to miss seeing it). At 5000 miles since last reset, the Maint Reqd light will stay on solid.
It's just a reminder by miles that you are due for the next scheduled maintenance. It is not smart (doesn't go by time, or do any oil analysis), just a mile counter. Usually that is an oil change/tire rotation: http://smg.toyotapartsandservice.com/
Should your dealer forget to reset it, or you go to an independent mechanic or DIY, you can reset the light yourself.
The odo-button dance procedure to reset the light is listed in Page 122-123 of the US 2004 Prius Owner's Manual (Section 2-5 "Operation of Instruments and Controls: Gauges, Meters and Service Reminder Indicators", item (j) in the "Service reminder indicators and warning buzzers" section). It should be listed in a similar section in your 2009 Corolla's Owner's Manual.

If you sit in the passenger seat and it still says "airbag off" then you need to take it to a dealer. This will be covered under your warranty.

A: You should not hesitate buying the Corolla , one of the best made cars on the planet. With Toyota , you get superb build quality and very very reliable cars , with great residual values. If its in your budget , and the deal is right , buy it Just a small point , but important , tell the dealer you want a set of proper mats to cover flooring . I could weep at the number of times I saw customers taking away new cars with no carpet mats. Spend thousands , but no mats ? Crazy. DJC.

A: There is a world of difference. New body, new interior, side curtain air bags, new engine, new transmission, telescoping steering wheel, direct tire pressure monitoring system, you lost 1 star on the front crash safety rating :( In short everything was changed. it is very similar due to the fact that it must be since it is still a corolla. Bu as a technician they made all of us go through a training course on all the new stuff. Oh, and they dont offer the corolla as a ce model any more just a base model. The 2008 is a less complicated vehicle mechanically and in the long run may save some money on repairs. As nice as the new 2009 is i would say give them a couple years to work out the kinks in the new model before purchasing one.
