Anyone knows how much is the cost in oz for parts and labor to put on a new clutch to a 92-94 honda civic?

A: prolly like 400 bucks

Q: Should I trade my 99 Honda Civic for a brand new Chevy Cobalt?
GM is offering 2k cash off 08 Cobalts. I have a 99 Honda Civic that is a decent car but its starting to need work put into it. I still owe 3500$ on it with an interest rate of 13%. Payments are 204 a month. I bought the car used last year. Its got about 65k on it but I wondering if it would make sense to upgrade and get something brand new for about the same payment and with a warrenty.

A: Why not go in for a hybrid ? http://green.yahoo.com/blog/amorylovins/43/rethinking-the-cost-of-hybrid-cars.html

Q: How much does the new Honda Civic cost?
Hi, my mate thinks that her new Honda Civic costs £32,000......i still think that the max. you could buy one for is £20,000...is she right or is she bragging ?

A: 32,000 is too much for a civic... the SI is probably around 22,000 and the other ones are less, around 15-20 thousand...

Q: How much does a sales person make on commison for a new Honda Civic?
How much does a sales person make on commison for a new Honda Civic? does anyone know ??

A: On a typical new Honda Civic sold at retail price, including GAP insurance without an extended warranty, your salesperson would make about $150-400. This depends on several factors...buyers credit score, total percentage of markup in vehicle. Usually Honda salespeople get paid between 20 and 30 percent of the dealership's profit on the vehicle. They are also commissioned on the financing percentage (hence the credit score comment). This can get complicated though. I would say $280 is a good average total commission on a new Honda Civic. A used Civic could be up to $1500.

Q: Can any body tell me which is a better car Toyota Corola or the new Honda Civic ?
Can any body tell me which is a better car Toyotas Corola or Honda Civic the new version. The parameters that I want an evaluation on are a) Comfort in city and long distance b)reliability c) Fuel mileage d) aesthetics and e) resale value.

A: Performance Both the Toyota Corolla and the Honda Civic are likely to feel a little slow because of their high horsepower-to-weight ratio. Handling The Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla have approximately similar tires. With their similar turning circles, the Civic and the Toyota likely handle approximately the same into and out of tight spots. Drivetrain The Corolla has no lessons to learn when it comes to torque from the Honda Civic. Utility Neither the Corolla nor the Honda Civic has a marked advantage with respect to seating capacity. Comfort Taller drivers will markedly enjoy the extra head room in the Corolla's front cabin compared to the Honda Civic. While the rear of the Toyota Corolla offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Honda Civic, there frankly isn't much of a difference. Dimensions Both the Toyota Corolla and the Honda are likely to feel a bit sluggish because of their high horsepower-to-weight ratio. The Honda Civic and the Toyota compete for the same parking spaces. Cost The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Toyota Corolla to the dealership as the Honda Civic. Toyota Corolla costs markedly less than the Honda Civic. Overview The Honda and the Toyota Corolla have the same basic after-sale protection. HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU, All the best :)

Q: What is the average cost of a new paint job for 97 Honda Civic- from white to black?
I have a 1997 Honda Civic that is in like-new condition. It only has 25k miles on it, so you can only imagine that the rest is in incredible condition. Minus a couple of scratches, the exterior is in excellent condition. I'm curious of the average cost to paint it black, as white shows so much dirt, too many scratches... and I want to fix the car up a bit so it doesn't look it's actual age- white bores me! ;)

A: It would honestly be better and cheaper to sell it and buy one in a different colour. Here in the UK, you can get a "dust over" which is where they simply mask up the windows and doors for about £500, but it looks crap everytime you open the bonnet or doors. A proper full respray needs everyhting to bestripped out the car and redone, here in the UK you;re looking at about £2000. Just so you know, black (and other dark colours) shows the dirt even worse than white does, if you dont want the dirt to show, the best colour is bright red, followed by other bold colours such as french blue or grass green. If you're really bored with white, it's be cheaper and easier to have the paint corrected by a bodyshop and then have a tinted laquer applied over the top. Tinted laquers show the highlights on your cars surface, and white is the easiest colour to apply them over. If you have a blue tint made, your car will appear white but have subtle blue colouring round any curves and dips in the bodywork, which shift as you walk round it. it's not as extreme as the chameleon paints you see and I think is much nicer as its not as garish.

Q: How much for new tires on my Honda Civic??
I need to replace my tires on my 2005 honda civic. In general how much are the new tires??

A: It depends on where you buy them- I bought tires at Sears last year and they were about $75 each. That also came with a warranty for the life of the tires and free alignment and rotation services. I also have a Honda Civic.

Q: I lost my keys to my 99 honda civic, what do I need to do to get a new one made?
Well it's actually my friend, but he did loose his keys to his 1999 honda civic. We have a honda dealer in town here, but what all does he need to get a copy? Vin number and registration I'm guessing? How much does it generally cost?

A: No dealer will cut a key for you unless you present them with a valid identification and vehicle registration. It will have to be in the same name so most likely a dealer will not cut a key for you if you are not the owner of the car. Your friend can get a key made. honda can retrieve the key cut code from their secure online database using the vehicle identification number. that vehicle did not have immobilizer on it so there is no chip in the key. Honda dealers charge about $10 to make the key. hope that helps

Q: Is it possible to program a 97 Honda civic keyless entry after putting in a new stereo?
I replaced the stereo in my 97 Honda civic and the keyless entry was not working (knew that would happen), however I have had Honda service men and others in the auto business tell me that you can reprogam the keyless entry if the old stereo is grounded (not sure I understand). Anyway it is, but no one seems to be able to program the keyless entry (not to say that they printed the instructions for a 97 Honda CR-V, which my car is not and no one noticed this -I was not there when this happened). Anyway can I reprogram it?

A: What the service people are telling you is that if you replaced the original radio with a non-Honda radio, then you have to have the original radio re-connected to the car in order to program the remotes. That means connecting the radio to a 12 volt power source, a ground and an antenna. Whoever put the new radio in should be able to do this. The keyless entry works off of a radio signal that it sends to the control unit for the keyless entry but on that year Civic the programming is done through the valet/disarm button on the original radio. If the original radio was replaced because it didn't work (won't turn on) then you're out of luck with the remote programming unless you can find another original radio to do this with. here's the Honda procedure to program the remotes using the original radio Programming the Transmitter NOTES: • The system accepts up to four transmitters. • Entering the programming mode cancels all learned transmitter codes, so none of the previously programmed transmitters will work. You must reprogram all the transmitters once you’re in the programming mode. 1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II). 2. Press and hold the Valet-Disarm button on the radio (between the AM/FM and CD/TAPE buttons) to enter the programming mode. (Continue to hold the button during this procedure, or programming will be cancelled.) Check that the power door locks cycle to confirm that you’re in the programming mode. 3. Within 5 seconds, press the “Lock” or “Unlock” button on the transmitter. Check that the power door locks cycle to confirm that the code was accepted. 4. Within 10 seconds, press the “Lock” or “Unlock” button on each of the remaining transmitters. 5. After all the transmitters have been programmed, release the Valet-Disarm button to exit programming mode.

Q: Is there any way you can have awesome sound in a new 08 Honda Civic?
I'm wondering that if somebody has a 08 honda civic with a manufacture cd player, is there any way you could put great quality, loud sound without having to change out the whole dash or deck?

A: SPEAKERS!!! The OEM usually puts the cheapest speakers possible. Listen to dozens of high-end speakers (polk, Infinity, JVC, Kenwood) and pick the set that sounds best to YOUR ear. You can also get a small subwoofer that takes an input from one of the speakers - this will fill out that low end sound (<40 Hz) that small speakers are lacking.

Q: What do I do to my new Honda Civic Coupe EX to make it look sleek?
I bought a galaxy grey Honda Civic Coupe EX yesterday, and it is fantastic. I am in love again! I am going to take it today and get the windows tinted, but I was wondering if anyone knows of anything additional I can do to it, to make it look sexy and sleek. I want it to stand out from the rest a bit - no need for extra speed.. just a face-lift. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

A: wait a little while for the aftermarket to come up with various body kits and body pieces to make your car stand out, it's too new to expect much just yet... just be patient, guaranteed the civic will be able to get some bling soon

Q: where can i go to get new car seats, dash, doors, for my honda civic?
I want to redo the interior of my 1991 honda civic 2dr hatch, where online can I go to see what's available?

A: Try J. C. Whitney. I think they have a site, but I've always got on of their catalogs from the mag. racks.

Q: Should I buy a new honda Civic?
I'm looking at a new Honda Civic as my second car, what do you all think of them?

A: Well, they are well screwed together, they hold onto their value well and are undoubtedly reliable. Not desperately keen on the look of the new one though, from behind they look awful, i'd be tempted to go for the old Type R, quality motor and quick with it.
