Q: What other HONDA CIVIC model is the best substitute for HONDA CIVIC SI?
Its hard to find a good stock 99-00 Honda Civic SI nowadays. I'm just wondering what other Honda Civic model is the best substitute for Honda Civic SI?? i like 99-00 Honda Civic SI and Honda EK...
And what is the diff between the EK3 EK4 and EK9?
Thanks! Appriciated!
How about the DX?
A: ummm. i own a 2000 si and a 2000 civic hatchback..you cant substitute an s.i. the 99-2000 civic ex is as close as you can get. the 96-98 civics have a different front end. the civic s.i comes with a stock b16a2 dohc vtec(dual over head cam vtec) wich has alot more power than an ex, also comes with better suspension, all wheel disk brakes, and different interior. an ex is the closest you will get to an s.i. if you later are gonna swap an engine into it you might as well get a hatchback... but if you just want the looks, get an ex. and american hondas are not ek's, those are acutually japanesse models.ek3 is 95-98 in japan. ek4 is 99-2000 civic in japan and ek9 is 99-2000 but the type r models... hope that answered your questions... oh and dont go single cam turbo. your engine will blow trust me.
Q: What is a good price to pay for an 08 Honda Civic SI?
I am looking for a new 08 Honda Civic Si, and I see dealerships price these at around $21-22k. I was wondering how much do you think I can knock off from the dealers price?
A: The Si is a limited production car.
The sedan you'll have a better chance of getting maybe $500. The coupe I would guess none.
Q: what is the cheapest price for honda civic si sedan 2009?
I love the civic si sedan. I went to the honda dealer yesterday, they gave me the price which is $21,919(includes fees)
I was wondering if anyone bought the civic si sedan 2009 please tell me how much you paid for it.
A: i don't have a honda civic but i do pay attention to Honda's. we have about 4. You can get a base civic for about $17,000. If you are wanting an EX with a sunroof and all that stuff you are looking at about $20,000. Don't let them fool you. If you go to the right place they can cut you really good deals. For example i have a 2009 Honda Accord EX with everything but leather and i only paid $22,000 for it. The price sticker was almost $26,000 but there is definately wiggle room for any car you want to buy. I would suggest taking someone with you that can talk junk to the salesperson to let them know your aren't an idiot that will pay full price for a car.
Q: What kind of gas mileage does a new Honda Civic SI yet?
How good does a Honda Civic SI do in the best of cirumstances, it is a car I am looking into, and am curious how it does when your not driving like a bat out of hell.
A: Rico it really does depend on how you drive the car. If it's a manual you can see upwards 40MPG even in the SI model. Normal driving is est 31MPG HWY in the 2006 Civic SI
Q: where can i find a honda civic si in the inland empire for sale?
im looking to buy a car and i want to find a honda civic si hatchback 02-04.if anybody knows any dealerships that might have it in riverside county let me know.thanx
A: check craigslist i always see lot of SI's on the inland empire craigslist, not sure about the hatch version though. Just be careful what you buy though because a lot of them are cars that have been beat up by their previous owners and when they are about to break they sell them so it becomes your problem. Make sure whatever car you buy has a good service record with proof (i.e. receipts) and check the CarFax report (altho that doesn't always include 100% of accidents/problems the car was involved in)
Q: Can you replace the a/c compressor from underneath on an 03 Honda Civic SI?
My a/c compressor went out and I have the new one. I am wondering if you are able to replace it from underneath the vehicle. It looks like it is hard to get to. It looks like you would have to maybe move the motor if you did it from the top. The car is a 2003 Honda Civic SI 2.0L. Thanks :)
Thank you! That was exactly what I needed to know! I really appreciate it!
A: The compressor comes out from the bottom but you have to do a lot to get to that point. Here's a recap of honda's instructions for the replacement of the compressor on that vehicle.
before you do that, be sure that your blower motor works. On Hondas of that vintage if the blower motor didn't work on all speeds it could prevent the compressor from working. So before you go taking everything apart, be sure the blower mtoor works.
Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio, then write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons.
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery first, then disconnect the positive cable.
Recover the refrigerant with a recovery/recycling/charging station.
Remove the front bumper.
Remove the right side headlight.
Remove the reserve tank from the bracket.
Remove the drive belt.
Remove the three bolts securing the alternator
Remove the alternator.
Remove the A/C condenser fan assembly.
Disconnect the A/C compressor clutch connector (A), remove the bolts, then disconnect the suction line (B) and the discharge line (C) from the A/C compressor. Plug or cap the lines immediately after disconnecting them to avoid moisture and dust contamination.
Remove the mounting bolts and the A/C compressor.
Install the A/C compressor in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
Q: What type of fuel do you put in your honda civic SI 2000.?
What type of fuel do you put in your honda civic SI 2000. I just bought one and honda says to put in premium in and thats what I've been doing for the first month of owning it, however could i put unleaded in without hurting it. also do I lose power if I use a lesser fuel.
A: Premium for true optimum performance from your VTEC motor. But if you don't have enough money for premium then regular won't hurt either.
I use VP's C16 in my Honda;-)
Q: suggestions for a body kit for a 1994 honda civic si hatchback?
i have a 1994 honda civic si hatchback and i'm thinking of putting a body kit on it, but don't know where to start. what places do i look for body kits? are online stores a good idea? what's a good price for a complete body kit (what's too high or too low)? about how much should installation cost? is there anything to look out for? does anybody have any bodykit suggestions?
A: well depending on ur car color u can think about adding a carbon fiber lip to it and some simple type r skirts on the sides if they are available but i dont recomend body kits because if u damage them u need to be driving without a bumper for a while and stuff with lips jsut take them off and repair them

Q: custom seat base and slider for new honda civic si?
I'm wanting to buy a new honda civic SI. When I went to check one out this weekend the seat would not adjust to give me enough leg room. I'm 6'3" so I need an additional 4" to 6". A friend of mine suggested getting a custom seat base and slider to move the seat back. Has anyone ever tried this? Does anyone know anything about modding car seats? Is there another option to add leg room. Legitimate answers only please. Spare me the funny remarks.
A: check into getting a set of racing seats. sometimes you can adjust the bracket on the floor before mounting the seats to give you the extra space you need.
Q: How to install 'Progress Springs' on a 2004 Honda Civic Si?
I recently bought a set of front/rear 'Progress Springs' for my 2004 Honda Civic Si with the intention of having them professionally installed. After speaking with a few people I was told that installing them myself is not that difficult. Any helpful hints? Thanks in advance!
A: well ive changed springs on a 94 dx.. its not that hard..
all u need is two friends, metric wrenches , sockets, allen key set, hammer, 4 jack stands, jack, flash light, 2 spring compressers , and .wd-40.
this is the way we did it.. we put the car up on the stands... took off the wheels and unbolted the struts from the car ( under the hood and in the trunk) then we unbolted the struts from the suspension arms......... also in the front - u have to take the brake lines off the strut.....
after u have them out.. u use the spring compresser to compress the spring. then u use an alen wrench and spanner to remove the top bolts........ there are two of em......
after that u jsut slide the cap off along witht eh bushing... the comes off the spring.........
then u remove the spring compressers off the old springs,, and u put em on the new 1, slide the compressed spring onto teh strut, and do everything u did but in reverse... it took us 4 hrs to
do everythign...... but im sure u u get a Haynes manual from Autozone... u can get it done in no time at all......
have fun....

Q: Can you run a sts tubo charger kit on honda civic si 06?
Would the universal STS TURBO KIT work for honda civic si 06? and is a good or a safe idea?
A: you can boost anything...will the universal kit work? it says its universal...probly pretty crappy, yes, when there designed for a certain car they bend the pipes to run in a decent place, is it safe? depends on how much boost you plan to run, and what your compression is, and you definitely dont want detonation
what i would do? sell the honda and get a F body or something else with a v8...why spend 3k+ on a mod thats not even going to get you to where a stock LT1 camaro is

Q: Does anyone know how to change the timing belt on a 1994 Honda Civic Si?
I have a 1994 Honda Civic Si and I need to change the timing belt but I don't know how, does anyone have any advice or know a website that I could look it up on w/o having to buy a book?
A: It's real easy if you have the tools, first you'll need a crank pulley wrench if not use a chain wrench to hold the pulley while you remove the bolt. Once you got the bolt off loosen the belt tensioner then slide the belt off, now reverse and done, you can go to hondahookup.com and reg to be a member and download there manuals.
Q: Does the Honda Civic SI have automatic transmission?
I was contemplating whether i should get a Honda Civic Si or a Scion Tc. Both are very good, and the Si has more horsepower than the TC. It also has more standard options. However, i noticed i cant get the honda civic si with auto transmission on manual, does anybody know if i can get it that way? thanx!
A: NO!!! The new Civic Si does not come with an automatic. They do not come with that option. Any one who says "yes they do" is clearly retarded.
*For the guy above...you obviosly dont own a respectable Si*
The 1999-2000 Si Coupe only came with a 5-speed and the new 2006 only comes with a 6-speed.
The older early to mid ninties Si Hatchbacks came with the option of an auto transmission, but the new ones...no way.
