Q: Recently bought BMW Z3...?
I need some parts for it such as a new soft top, seats, inside door panel etc. So far all the parts websites i've seen have only had generic parts that can be bought at AutoZone. Does anyone know of any good websites for car parts?
p.s. Bavarian Motorsport mag is way over-priced and I don't want anything from junkyard! And fuck eBay lol

Q: '97 BMW Z3 idles in first and same w/ all the gears. Why Doesn't it stall if i release the clutch?
I attempted to shift into 1st coming at a high speed but i was still pressing the clutch. I had trouble putting into 1st but i did as i pulled to the stop. As i went to turn, the car began to jerk like if i was trying to take off in 3rd and not giving it gas. I immediately pressed the clutch and made sure i was in first. Continued the turn very slowly as it did not pick up speed in 1st. The car still revs but doesnt go anywhere. The weird part is that it still reverses but at a 5000 rpms. What is wrong? What can I do to fix this? Any suggestions help. Thanks
A: sounds like the clutch is gone. I think the reason it will still move in reverse is because reverse is not the normal direction the clutch wears in and it has just enough in that direction to grab.
On a BMW your best bet is to take it to a BMW dealer and let them fix it. hope this helps!
Q: BMW supercharger 318i?

if i put that on a 318i, would it make any difference at all. im not expecting real supercharger results for $35 i just was wondering if its going to actually do anything.
A: If I remember right I think I saw this on myth busters and it did not work.Save you money for something better

Will it work ok for just an cold air intake? cause i want a cold air intake but they cost at least $200, so if this works then ill save at least $150
A: HI --- This thing is a gimmick --- A real turbo set up costs thousands of dollars..... I doubt it would add horsepower..... The worst it can do is make the Map sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure) and the Mass Airflow Sensor send an incorrect signal to the computer which could turn on the "check engine light".. This also could cause the computer to read the wrong values from these sensors which would cause the computer to make engine and emissions adjustments that could make fuel economy worse........ This thing is an over priced toy.......
Q: Is this car a good deal? It has 50k miles on it for $1600 and needs paint job.?

A: 50,000 miles!, yea right!, that car is set up to be a rice rocket and I'm sure it has been driven really hard and put out to dry, I'd stay away from it.

Hey, just looking for some second opinions, I've been researching cars for a while now because mine is still down and i'm now sure which of these i can settle for because there all good, i've only got behind the wheele of a few and loved them. So heres the deal:
When you select a car from the list, please tell me why. Like idk if it breaks, expensive parts, engine problems that you heard of.... anything.
So these are the cars that i'm looking to get USED and around 40k or less miles on em:
1.) BMW Z4
2.) BMW Z3
3.) HUMMER H2
4.) DODGE CHARGER SRT8 OR R/T
5.) MAZDA RX8
6.) CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE

A: I'd struggle to choose between the BMW Z4 and the Mazda Rx-8. If the Mazda was the 230ps version, I'd have that. Otherwise, I'd take the Z4.
